Our lives and careers have taken us to three far flung cities, but we can’t shake that pesky preoccupation with the well-being of the black community that must have taken hold somewhere on The Yard during our years at Howard University. So here we are, way past booty-call age but not quite planning weddings either, in the age of Steve Harvey and Hill Harper and the persistent stereotypes and statistics about African Americans and relationships. Between the three of us, we have enough living and loving under our belts to have a lot to say about the topic, and we care enough to say it.
